Simon sets new season besttime in Stockholm

August 5th 2003 - At the DN Galan in Stockholm Simon ran his first steeplerace after his altitude training in Sankt Moritz. He didn't try to the follow the Africans and ran his own race in the middle of the elite field. As usual his last lap was fast enough to catch some of his opponents and finish 7th with a time of 8.19.68. Simon improves his season besttime (was Zagreb 8.22.57, July 7th) with almost 3 seconds, but he just missed qualification for next year's Olympic Games by 0.18.
