Second and first place in 2 races in Holland

April 30th 2008 - Simon took the start line in 2 local races in the Northern Netherlands over the last weeks. He finsihed second behind Niels Strik in the 10 Miles of Hoogeveen (Cascaderun)in a time of 51.19. A week later, he started for his new club Groningen Athletics on the 5 kilometer track race in Drachten. After a very slow first 2K in 6.40, Simon accelerated and did the last 3K in 8.33 all by himself. The resulting victory time was 15.13.

Next weekend, Simon will do a road mile in Austria after which he will travel to Egypt on a busines trip for his new employer RWE Dea.
