Road racing in a tough periodMarch 27th 2008 - Simon has done some training road races in the midst of a tough period in his life. While one of the athletes he trained started a relationship with his girlfriend, Simon tried to regain spirits by running the Half Marathon City Pier City in The Hague and the 10 km Klap tot Klap Loop in Stadskanaal. The half marathon was in 1.11 with only the last 5 km fast (under 15 minutes), the 10 km was in the middle of a 2 hour training run and was a solid 35 minutes. Next weekend, Simon will run a 12 km on the Formula 1 circuit in Zandvoort.
